I made an 80 on this quiz, which is overall a passing grade. I had hoped to make a 100 as I understand the information perfectly, the lecture was outstanding, as always. However, I want to point out a few things that need attention among the questions in the quiz.
Question #1) The meaning of God’s rest on seventh day? Answer: an elevation of the creation to a state considered “thought” is listed twice as a possible answer
Question #4) When did the sanctification and holiness of the seventh day begin? This question was difficult as I wasn’t sure among the two possible answers what the question was specifically asking. For example, the first answer “on the first Sabbath” could apply because God did sanctify it and make it holy at the time in which He created the boundary of sanctification. However, another possible answer was the second answer option, “when God gave the Torah at Mt. Sinai”, could apply as well because I remembered Rabbi Weiner stating during the teaching that the sanctification would come when the people would receive the Torah and then they are specifically commanded to rest and perform activity of holiness, as opposed to bnei Noach which are not. Therefore, I wasn’t sure which was the best answer because it actually began when God “created” the boundary but it also began for mankind at Mt. Sinai.
Question #5) Can a Noahide keep Sabbath as a holy day? Two possible answers are applicable in my humble opinion; the first one and the third one. The first one because clearly bnei Noach wasn’t commanded, and we are taught this as one of our first lessons when we seek to learn the truth. However, answer three could apply because it appears that no human was ever commanded to observe Sabbath as a holy day until Mt. Sinai, hence the phrase “commanded to do so”.
Thank you very much for this opportunity to learn and thrive in the truth of hashem. Thank you for all of your hard work; everyone involved!
