New to the group
Shalom, Chaverim! My name is Michael Saccomando and I am brand new to the Noachide Academy. However, I have been a practicing Noachide (and even converted to Judaism in a Reformed community) since 2005. Although I went through the formality of conversion (mohel, mikvah, Bet Din), I was told by a Hasidic Rabbi that my conversion is not recognized outside of the Reformed Community. Therefore, I just consider myself a Noachide. I live in Orlando, Florida and am anxious to connect with other Noachides--either locally, or virtually. If anyone is wanting/looking for someone to connect with and share ideas, thoughts, etc., please reach out.

Shalom Michael. I'm Lana. I hail from New York. Welcome! I, too, am a brand new at the school. Your story resonates with me.
...and I'm in a similar boat as you: I thought I was Jewish until I found out that I'm not...
Different circumstances though: I'm a product of a mixed marriage. I was born in Ukraine in Soviet times and at that time and in that place, one's "ethnicity" was determined by the father. My father is Jewish (my mother is not), so the government wrote me in as Jewish. Other than the label, I got nothing else. My family was in total ignorance and darkness about Hashem, about Torah, about anything real. It was only after moving to America and in my 40's, that I discovered the Truth from Rabbis about how the world actually is and the purpose of it all and what my actual job in this world is.
So, our job is to walk the walk as Noahides. Let's do it well....and nobody is stopping us from applying to the Jewish Nation through Orthodox channels.
