Was Jesus divine or the Son of God? Claim: Jesus is part of the Trinity—fully God and fully man. Question: How can God be one and yet three? ________________________________________ 3. What about salvation through faith alone? Claim: Faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection is the only path to salvation. Question: If not through Jesus, then how can one be saved? ________________________________________ 4. Why did Jesus have to die? Claim: Jesus’ crucifixion was the ultimate atonement for humanity’s sin. Question: If there is no Temple today, how can sins be forgiven without blood sacrifice? ________________________________________ 5. What is the original sin, and do we inherit it? Claim: Adam’s sin brought spiritual death to all; only Jesus can redeem us. Question: Does Judaism believe in inherited sin? Many who leave Christianity feel spiritually lost and disconnected from the Hebrew Bible, God, and the Jewish people.
