Rabbi Yitzchak Jetter, an experienced educator, is teaching interactive lessons every Sunday on the weekly Parsha, stories from Tanach, prayers and more! Every class will be part Hebrew, part parashat hashavuah and part moral discussions and what the Torah and Noahide Law teach us about them. Join us at 11 AM EST (6pm Europe) every Sunday! Materials These are items that we will be using in class. There are also other resources you will receive by e-mail. If you have the opportunity, please print those out for your child! Necessary Chumash Folder Pencils Crayons Who is Rabbi Y? Rabbi Y’s full name is Rabbi Perets Yitzchak Jetter, but you can call him Rabbi Yitzchak or Rabbi Y. He is the Noahide Children’s School Director for the Academy. He taught 2nd-5th grade at a Jewish. Hebrew school for years. He graduated from the Noahide Academy with a Master’s Degree. He received Smicha from Machon Smicha under Rabbi Mendel Prescott. Expectations Be prepared Participate in class daily Pay attention Ask questions Limit distractions (including with technology) Be respectful and understanding of classmates Listen when others are speaking Conduct yourself appropriately Weekly Procedure Everyone says hi 2-5 minute davening together Hebrew Learning to read and write Hebrew Starting with the Aleph Beis Chumash Read through parsha in a nutshell together Rabbi Y will go over a lesson for Noahides from the parsha We’ll do a creative activity connected to the weekly parsha Moral Dilemmas Rabbi Y will present a short story that the class will read together The class will discuss what they would do, and do a short creative project based on it The class will then learn what the Torah guides us to do in that situation Other regular activities we do will include: Reading through Noahide children’s books together Read Rambam’s 13 Principles of Faith Going through foundational concepts such as hashgacha pratit, yesh me’ayin, and so on Learning aleph beis
