All the rest is commentary...

At first, I found deep reflection on Hillel’s ‘What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the whole Torah; the rest is commentary’ liberating, because it opened up who my ‘neighbor’ could be (specifically, no need to filter based on denomination). But it also brings a loneliness, because it doesn't create belonging. Is anyone else feeling a little isolated, and if so how do you manage it?

The classic answer is do not let your happiness depend on other people. But since we live amongst people, that’s very hard to do. So yes, there’s a feeling of loneliness when others don’t have a similar belief. But it’s nice to know that they will eventually. You don’t have to force your belief on anyone just do what you do and others will observe you and that will be enough.

Hello everyone! So happy and grateful to have found you! I became a Noahide in 2022 and know only one other who is here in Hawaii. I've so wanted to belong to a Noahide group. So glad you created a community for us! Thank you so very much to the wonderful Rabbis, volunteers, all the wonderful contributors and participants who make the 7 Noahide Laws available and do all the meaningful things to bring these beautiful teachings to our world to make it a better place. I read the Christian Bible beginning 2021 but things weren't adding up, so when I discovered this path in 2022, I read The Ancient Hebrew Bible of the Torah, A Mechanical Translation by Jeff A. Benner, and The Seven Gates of Knowledge by Rabbi Moshe Weiner and have begun to read The Divine Code by also by Rabbi Weiner. I'm so relieved to find sensible meaning to Tanach teachings. The Rabbis are so wise. I love listening to Rabbi Manis Friedman and Rabbi Tovia Singer.  I’m working on a project as my contribution to help make this world a better place. Aside from devotion to Hashem, this is the most important thing to me.

I'm moving to Paraguay soon and hope to meet other Noahides there to study and socialize together, in person or online. If we’re able to form a group there, perhaps we can join established online studies as a group and have a Rabbi who will oversee us. I would so love that. This would fill an ache to converse with others who understand this chosen way of life and have someone to turn to for excellent counsel. Thank you so much!!  In this confusing and often chaotic world of ours, Noahidism gives my life meaning and hope. I’m so relieved that I’m crying inside!  Ha!  :D  Vaya con Dios!
