Bereshit: The Land Given as a Gift
At the opening of the Book of Genesis (Bereshit), with the beginning of the new Torah reading cycle, Rashi (the prominent commentator) poses his famous question: Why did the Torah begin with the description of the Creation of the world and the connection to the Land of Israel? Rashi answers that the Torah begins with Creation to establish that the whole earth belongs to the Creator, and He grants nations their inheritance as He wills. A question arises here: Why does the very first foundation of faith in the entire Torah is related specifically with a Midrashic discussion on the Land of Israel and how all this is related to a Noahide?
Rashi cites right in the beginning that the "whole earth is G-d's, He gives land to whom He wills". The Creator owns the entire earth and allotts it by His will, He…

I was looking into this recently when dealing with a deep scratch on my car bumper. It is usually best to choose a shop that performs a full assessment, precise digital color matching, clear coat resealing, and proper blending with adjacent panels to prevent long-term rust or paint damage. You can check this link to see an example of how a standard professional process is structured, including depth analysis and clear coat sealing. Having those details outlined upfront helped me compare options and avoid unexpected fees.

There are benedictions for the sun and the moon in the Jewish prayers. I love the connection in them of nature and Hashem who creates it. I want to know if I can recite them maybe with some modifications if needed.

Hoshana Rabbah: When Mercy Waits Until the Last Moment
The seventh day of the festival of Sukkot, known as Hoshana Rabbah, opens a window to a day which is the climax for the entire month, when the universal judgment regarding physical sustenance, rainfall, and the existence of all nations of the world is finalized for the coming year. The Zohar says that the final decision and sealing of the judgment concerning one’s destiny takes place on Hoshana Rabbah. What message does this day carry for any individual?
During the first six days of Sukkot, a diminishing number of bulls were offered in the Holy Temple. On Hoshana Rabbah—the seventh day—the offering of the seventy bulls corresponding to the seventy primary nations of the world were completed (Sukkah 55b; Rashi to Sukkah 55b; Rashi to Numbers 29:18). Hoshana Rabbah marks the conclusion of these seven days, this is an open window…

Thank you, Rabbi, for explaining this! I was recently told that a gentile's time to repent and be sealed in the book of life is only strictly on Rosh Hashanah and that Yom Kippur and Sukkot are Only for Jews. I Know that it is a commandment for the Jewish Nation to observe these days and are Not a commandment for Noahides, but I felt to continue Teshuva and prayers through to the end of Sukkot. 🙂 I know that repentance is available at any time, but I did feel like this was powerful time!
Shalom!

How to choose a reliable water softener service in Sacramento?
Lately I have been looking into options for installing a whole house water filtration system because hard water stain issues are getting worse around here. I spent quite some time trying to compare local providers to see who actually offers solid guarantees and reasonable timelines. During my search I noticed how important it is to check detailed service descriptions before hiring anyone. For instance I checked link and similar local sites to see what is usually included in standard installation packages. Generally I prefer companies that clearly explain their process and give upfront details about equipment options rather than vague promises. What key factors do you usually look for when evaluating water treatment contractors in our area?

What should you check before hiring a personal injury attorney after a traffic collision?
I have never chosen legal assistance online before and would like to understand what red flags or quality signs I need to watch for first when comparing options in this sphere.

Finding reliable legal support after a major traffic crash requires looking beyond generic advertising and quick settlement claims. When dealing with severe injuries or contested insurance liability you need professionals who specialize in complex high-impact cases rather than quick payouts. A good starting point is evaluating how thoroughly a firm presents its expertise in severe collisions. For instance reviewing resources like link helps you understand what details matters most such as handling severe trauma cases disputes over liability and long-term recovery needs. I always recommend comparing several practicing attorneys looking at their actual focus areas and making sure they have solid experience with high-value claims before making any final decisions.

Dear Rabbi
I would like to thank you for your thoughts on the true ownership of the Earth and everything that is a part of it. And everything that HaShem gives because he wants to and is able to. With so many nations arguing and pushing each other for dominance and resources it is for us a timely reminder that EVERYTHING belongs to HaShem and Humanity has a responsibility to take care of what we have been given.
