Yoreh Deah 2 – "Teaching Knowledge"

Yoreh Deah 2 is the 6th Module of the 8 Modules [ Orach Chaim 1, Yoreh Deah 1, Even HaEzer 1, Choshen Mishpat 1, Orach Chaim 2 and Choshen Mishpat 2 and Even HaEzer 2] of the Noahide Code, a foundational code of Torah law for Noahides compiled by Rabbi Moshe Weiner from Jerusalem, Rabbinical Head of the Noahdie Academy of Israel. The name "Yoreh Deah" means "Teaching Knowledge," and it primarily deals with the laws related to issues of idolatry, vows made in the name of an idol, forbidden foods, restrictions on causing suffering to a living creature, prohibition of causing personal injury or damage, sterilization, contraception and other related ethical issues.

Some of the major topics covered in Yoreh Deah include:

1.Idolatry: Laws concerning the Prohibition Against Aiding Idol Worshipers and Practices which are Forbidden as Customs of Idol Worshipers.

2.Kashrut for Noahides (Dietary Laws): Laws of kosher and non-kosher foods, slaughtering), and mixtures.

3.Respect for Life: Laws regarding the prohibition of causing personal injury or damage.

4.Tanach: The Books of Prophets.

5.Maimonides: Divine service for Noahides.

The name Yoreh Deah is derived from Isaiah 28:9: "Whom will one teach knowledge, and whom will one make understand the message?"

leads to a Final Certificate

And acknowledges you formally as

“Qualified to Be a Teacher of the Noahide Code”

This advanced Moreh Oraah Ordination, determines that you can in your community answer questions on how to apply the Noahide Code laws in communication with a Rabbi) in our time requires mastery of this Section of the “Noahide Code,” and includes the language “Yoreh, Yoreh,” “He is qualified to teach.”
