"Modim Derabanan" Song - We Thankfully Acknowledge You

I wanted to share with you all a new song I produced the music for, with Israeli singer Eliyahu Elbaz. The lyrics are taken from the daily prayer called "Modim Derabanan" - recited in the Amida prayer three times a day.

The "Modim Derabanan" Prayer

"We thankfully acknowledge You, for You are God, our Lord, and God of our fathers, the Lord of all flesh, our Creator, the Creator of the universe. [We will recite] blessings and prayers of thanksgiving to Your great and holy name for having granted us life and having maintained our existence. May You continue to grant us life and maintain our existence, and may You gather our dispersed exiles to Your holy courtyards. We will return to You, observe Your decrees, perform Your will, and serve You wholeheartedly. [We are grateful for the privilege] of thankfully acknowledging You. Blessed is God, [to Whom] thanksgiving [is befitting].

The daily expression of gratitude is a cornerstone of the Jewish faith and a foundational principle for Noahides. When we think about how much kindness Hashem showers upon us, our hearts should be filled with immediate gratitude and a yearning to serve Him and come closer to Him.
