A Woman's Most Important Mitzvah.

By Jelena Derosa

Have you ever wondered what mitzvah matters most to G-d as a woman? Of course any or all mitzvah's have their beauty and importance. We try to perform as many as we can with joy so it brings us closer to Hashem. But what's the greatest one?

I've always felt worried that I wasn't doing enough or at times I felt overwhelmed with taking on too much. I wondered if I was fulfilling the most important mitzvah. I searched for the ultimate mitzvah for women to make sure I was fulfilling it.

B'H I received my answer through a Rabbi - Rabbi Yaron Rueven.

In the Rabbi's lecture, he spoke about Modesty and how it is our Crown of Glory. How Hashem, when he created us he blessed each body part and said to it "Be Modest." Modesty is instilled in us. We were created from Adam's rib! The one part of the body that's always concealed, even when naked!

When a woman is modest she is fulfilling the most important mitzvah and displaying her love for her Creator. Modesty is required when you are devoting yourself to Hashem and it's the most beautiful thing you can do for G-d, yourself, and others.

If you're a women reading this, know that you are so special in Hashem's eyes and when you fulfill this ultimate mitzvah, you bring yourself to a greater level of holiness. There's nothing more beautiful and praiseworthy than a modest women who fears the Lord.
